Getting started
What is Keeplea for?
The things you photograph to remember rather than to look at. The paint you'll want to match, the plate with the model number, the card with the wifi password, the certificate from the engineer. Keeplea works out what each one is and gives it back when you ask for it in your own words.
Do I need an account?
No. You can install it and start keeping things straight away. Sign in when you want what you keep to survive a lost phone and to appear on your other devices — everything you captured as a guest comes with you.
Where your things live →Which phones does it work on?
iPhone on iOS 18 or later, and Android 9 or later.
What languages does it speak?
English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and Russian. It also names and describes what you keep in the language you choose, so a label you can't read still makes sense months later.
What does it cost?
Free to start, and free to keep using. Pro lifts the limit on how much you can keep. The price for your country is shown in the app.
Pro, and how to cancel →Capturing
Do my captures end up in my camera roll?
No. That's the point — your camera roll stays for the photographs you took to look at. If you would rather also keep a copy there, turn on Save photos to gallery in Settings.
Capture something →Can I bring in photos I already have?
Yes. Settings has Import photos, which opens your phone's own picker. Keeplea only ever receives the photographs you select — never your library as a whole.
Bring in photos you already have →What about screenshots?
Keep them like any other photo. Share one in from wherever it came from, or pick it up with the rest when you import — it gets read and comes back the same way everything else does.
Bring in photos you already have →Can I keep a PDF?
Yes. Share it into Keeplea from wherever it arrived — mail, messages, your files. A ticket bundle stays one thing however many pages it has.
Keep a ticket or a PDF →Does it work without a signal?
Yes. The capture is kept on your phone immediately and understood as soon as you're back online. You don't have to wait for it or stay on the screen.
It could not read something. Now what?
The item is still yours and still in your meadow; it just has no card yet. Open it and retake the photograph — straight on, with the whole label in frame — and it tries again.
Finding things
How do I find something later?
Describe it the way you would describe it to a person: the green paint in the hallway, the boiler certificate, the washing machine serial number. Exact strings work too — paste a part number in and it comes back.
Find it later →Do I have to organise anything?
No, and there's nowhere to do it. Collections form on their own out of what you keep and reshape as your library grows. Trips gather what you photographed while you were away from home.
Something is in no collection. Is it lost?
No. Collections are a way to wander, not a filing system, and an item can sit outside all of them. It's still in your meadow and still comes back when you ask for it.
Privacy
Where do my photographs go?
Into your account, so they survive a lost phone and appear on your other devices. They are read by Google's Gemini so that Keeplea can understand them, and they aren't used to train AI models or for advertising.
Where your things live →Can I lock the app?
Yes. Settings has Require fingerprint / face unlock, which puts Face ID, Touch ID or your fingerprint in front of everything you keep, every time you come back to it.
Lock Keeplea →Does it know where I was?
Only approximately, and only if you allow it. A place comes from the photograph's own data, or from a single coarse reading when you capture, and it's rounded to about a kilometre before it's stored. Nothing is tracked in the background.
How do I delete everything?
Settings, then your account, then Delete account. It removes your account, every item, and every photograph behind them, and it can't be undone.
Delete an item, or everything →Billing
How do I cancel Pro?
Through the store you bought it from — Apple or Google, never us. Settings, then Manage subscription, opens the right place on your phone. You keep Pro until the period you paid for ends, and nothing you kept is deleted when it does.
Pro, and how to cancel →I paid and Pro has not appeared.
Force-quit Keeplea and open it again; the stores can take a moment to tell us. If it still says free, email us from the address on your account and we will sort it out.
