Delete Your Account

You can delete your Keeplea account and everything in it at any time. Deleting your account is permanent and can’t be undone — it removes your account, your saved items, and your photos for good.

Delete it in the app

The fastest way is right inside the app, and it takes effect immediately:

1. Open Keeplea and go to Settings.

2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account (the red row).

3. Confirm on the next screen. You’ll be asked to verify it’s you first — with Apple, Google, or your password, depending on how you signed in.

That’s it. Your account is closed and your data is queued for deletion straight away.

Request deletion by email

If you can’t open the app — you’ve already removed it, lost the device, or can’t sign in — email us at support@keeplea.app from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We’ll confirm the request came from you (by that email address) and take care of it. We respond within one month, and usually much sooner.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

• Your account and sign-in — your profile and the credentials you use to log in

• All your saved items — everything you’ve captured, plus the descriptions and details Keeplea generated from them and the search data (text embeddings) built from those descriptions

• All your photos — the original images and thumbnails you captured or uploaded

If you’re a member of a collection someone else shared with you, deleting your account removes you from it. If you own a shared collection, the items you added are deleted along with your account.

What we keep, and for how long

When you delete your account, we remove your personal data and saved items from our active systems within 30 days. Some data may linger in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before it’s permanently overwritten. We may retain anonymized usage statistics, security logs, and aggregate metrics for longer, and we’ll keep whatever the law requires us to keep — none of it identifies you. A note on subscriptions

If you subscribe to a paid plan, that subscription is billed by Apple or Google, not by us — so deleting your account doesn’t cancel it. Cancel the subscription separately to stop future charges:

• Apple: open your App Store subscriptions and cancel Keeplea there.

• Google Play: open the Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, and cancel Keeplea.

Do this before or after deleting your account — either order is fine.
