Capture something
The four ways to photograph a thing into Keeplea, and what happens next.
Point the camera at the thing and take the picture. That is the whole gesture. Keeplea works out what it is on its own — the brand, the model, the colour, the dates, the small print — and the card is waiting when you next open the app.
The four ways in
From the app. Tap the camera button. It sits on every screen, so you are never more than one tap from a capture.
Without opening the app. On iPhone, add Keeplea to the Lock Screen or Control Center, or put it on the Action button. On Android, add the capture tile to Quick Settings or the widget to your home screen. All of them open straight to the camera, even with the phone locked.
From the share sheet. Photograph or receive something anywhere else, then share it into Keeplea. This is also how a PDF gets in — see Keep a ticket or a PDF.
From photos you already have. Settings → Import photos. See Bring in photos you already have.
While it is thinking
A capture appears immediately and fills in over the next few seconds. You do not have to wait for it, and you do not have to be online — a capture made with no signal is kept on the phone and understood as soon as you are back.
When it cannot read something
Some photographs cannot be read: a label at a hard angle, a reflection across the important line, a picture too dark to make anything out. The item is still yours and still in your meadow — it just has no card. Open it and retake the photograph, and Keeplea tries again.
Your camera roll
Captures made in Keeplea do not appear in your photo stream. If you would rather keep a copy there, turn on Settings → Save photos to gallery.
