Use Keeplea in ChatGPT and Claude
Ask ChatGPT or Claude about the things you've saved — what they can see, how to connect one, and how to disconnect it.
Connect Keeplea to ChatGPT or Claude and you can ask about your things right where you’re already working: what’s the model number of my washing machine?, show me the paint I saved, when is the boiler service due? The answer comes from what Keeplea read in your photos, with the photos alongside — open one to see every detail, with its barcodes and QR codes ready to scan.
Connect
ChatGPT. Open Plugins, search for Keeplea, and add it.
Claude. Open Settings → Connectors, find Keeplea, and connect it. In Claude Code, run
claude mcp add --transport http keeplea https://mcp.keeplea.app/mcp, then /mcp to sign in.
Either way, you sign in on a Keeplea page. Use the same Apple, Google or email sign-in you use in the app — or choose Connect with the Keeplea app, and approve it on your phone by entering the code the page shows under Settings → AI assistants. That way also works if you use Keeplea without an account. The page names the assistant asking to connect, and you should only approve one you’ve just added yourself. (In ChatGPT’s desktop app it may say Codex: that’s the part of ChatGPT that runs plugins there.)
Connecting is easiest on a computer. Once it’s done, Keeplea works in the same assistant on your phone too.
What it can see
A connected assistant can search and read everything you’ve saved, as Keeplea understood it: titles and summaries, details like the brand, model or serial number, your tags and notes, the text Keeplea read from each photo, and the photos and PDFs themselves, through links that stop working after an hour.
It never sees:
- identity documents and medical records — Keeplea keeps those out of every assistant, and they stay in the app
- anything you’ve deleted
It can only read. Capturing, editing, tagging and deleting all happen in the app. What ChatGPT or Claude does with what it reads is up to them, under their own terms — the privacy policy has the details.
Disconnect
In the app, open Settings → AI assistants and disconnect it, or do the same at auth.keeplea.app/account. Access stops within a minute. Removing Keeplea inside ChatGPT or Claude stops them using it, but disconnecting in Keeplea is what ends their access for certain. Deleting your Keeplea account disconnects every assistant.
When the answer is “nothing saved”
The connection works; the library it reached is empty. Either nothing has been captured yet — things are added in the Keeplea app, which you can get here — or you signed in with a different account from the one in your app. Your account page shows which one you’re using.
